Norrisville, MD – At 1901 hours, Whiteford Volunteers were dispatched for an engine, mutual-aid to Norrisville VFC first due, for a dwelling fire in the 5100blk of Norrisville Rd. At 1802 hours, E611 and Chief 6 called en-route and arrived at 1913 hours. While en-route, Dispatch advised that caller was reporting smoke on the 3rd floor from unknown source and the driveway was about 3/4 of a mile long. At 1913 hours, YC Chief 54-1 and E1013 arrived and reported fire showing from the attic/roof of a 2-1/2 story wood frame dwelling. Due to the driveway access and length, from the main roadway crews were shuttled by smaller utility units to the scene. Crews assisted with fire suppression and the fire was declared under control at 1955 hours. Crews assisted with overhaul operations and cleared at 2101 hours.
