This past week the members of the Whiteford Volunteer Fire Company were notified that we were awarded the Assistance to Firefighters Grant AFG by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. This grant will enable the Company to purchase outfit our personnel with new turn-out gear and fix-testing for Self Contain Breathing Apparatus SCBA. This grant will remove the large monetary burden that was faced by this organization each fiscal year. A special thanks to 1st. Assistant Fire Chief John Williamson for his dedication on another successful grant submission.
