Pylesville, MD – At 1217 hours, Whiteford Volunteers were dispatched for Truck 6, along with surrounding mutual-aid companies, for a reported building fire in the area of 5300blk of West Heaps Rd. At 1224 hours Truck 6 called en-route and monitored Dispatch reporting that numerous callers were advising of a well involved 60’x100′ barn that contained fuel inside. At 1225 hours Chief 10 arrived and reported a fully involved barn and requested a 2nd. alarm and tanker task force assignments. At 1229hours E612 responded as part of the 2nd alarm assignment.
At 1236 hours Truck 6 arrived and was instructed to set-up the ladder for master stream operations. At 1242 hours E-612 arrived and assisted with the fire suppression and overhaul operations.
At 1530 hours both units cleared the scene.
