At 1530hrs. Whiteford Volunteers were dispatched for mutual aid to Lancaster Co. Sta.5-8 Rawlinsville VFC for an Island Fire. The incident was located in the Susquehanna River on Bear Island just south of the Norman Wood Bridge Rt.372. At 1532hrs. U699 responded and arrived at 1549hrs.
