Deputy Chief 6 amp E612 called en-route and were advised that the caller only reported that the house was on fire. At 0914hrs. E612 arrived and found heavy smoke from a 2 12 wood frame dwelling. Command then requested the working fire assignment. Interior crews located the majority of the fire in the basement which had extended into the walls. Crews made access into the walls and quicklynbspknock down the fire which was declared under control at 0935hrs.nbspThe Fire Marshal determined an electrical malfunction caused the fire.
