At 2102 hours Whiteford Volunteers were dispatched for a Dwelling Fire at the intersection of Whiteford Rd. Main St. At 2105hrs. Chief 6 called enroute and was advised by EOC of the corrected address in the 1500blk. of Main St. and was upgrading to a Rescue Box. This address correction is approximately 34 of a mile away from the original call. At 2107hrs. Chief 6 arrived and reported fire showing on 1st. 2nd. floors Alpha side. Shortly Command confirmed rescue and requested a 2nd. Alarm. Valiant rescue efforts from both First Responders By-standers proved unsuccessful due to the rapidly deterriorating conditions. Co. 6 units called enroute at 2106hrs. and arrived 2108hrs. Crews advanced handlines on Charlie side and conducted primary secondary searches. At 2117hrs. interior crews located the lone victim on the 1st. floor who already had succumb from the fire conditions. At 2131hrs. Command reported fire under control. Crews continued overhaul operations for several hours and assisted the Fire Marshal Office in their investigation. Units cleared at 0221hrs.
