At 1335hrs. Whiteford Volunteers were dispatched to the intersection of Whiteford Kerr roads for a field fire. At 1336hrs. B641 Chief 6-1 called enroute and observed heavy smoke from about 2 miles away. At 1341hrs. Chief 6-1 arrived and reported a working fire involving both a Combine straw field that was located about a mile from the roadway. Command requested 3 additional Engines1 Brush unit and Special Unit 688 Gator. At 1345hrs.E612E611E613SU688U671B941U971A691A57-1 responded to the scene. Crews placed 2 handlines in-service to attack the Combine fire while both Brush units contained the field fire. Fire was placed under control 1400hrs. Units cleared at 1439hrs.
