At 2155 hours Whiteford Volunteers were dispatched for a building fire in the 3500blk. of Millers Rd. At 2156hrs. E612 Chief 6 called enroute. Dispatch advised the caller reported a working garage fire. At 2204hrs. E612 Chief 6 arrived and reported a working fire to a 30×30 garage attached to the dwelling. Crews deployed 3 attack lines and contained the fire to only the garage portion. The dwelling recieved a small amount of fire or smoke damaged. The fire was placed under control at 2135hrs. The garage was converted into a wood shop. Due to the building contents crews carry out heavy overhaul operations for 2-12 hours. Two firefighters received injuries during the fire. One Bel Air firefighter suffered a burn from a down powerline one Whiteford firefighter suffered an ankle injury. Both firefighters were transported to area hosptials and released. The Fire Marshal is handling the investigation. Units cleared at 0224hrs.
