BOX 616 – ENVIRNOMENTAL RESCUE

pAt 2210hrs. Whiteford Volunteers were dispatched for an environmental rescue in the 800blk. of Federal Hill road. Dispatch advised A691 that a 60 year old male subject had fallen from a tree stand in the woods and unknownnbspdistancenbspto accessnbspthe patient. Chief 6 requested SU688 amp E611 to the scene. At 2220hrs. Chief 6nbspA691 U1496 U671SU688E611 arrived on scene. Crews located the patient about 1 milenbspfrom the roadwaynbspin the woods. The patient had fallennbsp30ft. from a tree stand ramp and was lying down a 12 degree slope.nbspThe patient was quickly evaluated as a Category A – Priority 1 patient. Command upgraded to rescue assignment and requested Medi-vac. Rescue assignment brought R751 E714 amp Light Tower 6nbspto the scene. It was learned that the patient had been at this location since 1400hrs. until discovered by friends. Crews quickly mobilized the patient and deployed a Z-rig rope mechanical system to assistnbspwith the slope evacuation. The patient was extricated from the site at 2311hrs.
