pAt 2107hrs. Whiteford Volunteers were dispatched for R651 to Conowingo Rd. near Shuresville Rd. to assist Co. 9 with an Motor Vehicle Accident with Rescue. At 2111hrs. Chief 6 amp R651 called en-route amp arrived at 2124hrs. Crews found a three MVA involving an impalement to one of the occupants. A 5x12quot reinforce rod had penetrated thru the drivers door and impalednbspthough the drivers upper thigh. Crews assisted with stabilization of the area and set-up for extrication. The Shock Trauma Go-Team was requested and arrived on scene. Surgeons thennbspsedated the patient for extrication. Crewsnbspslowly workednbspwith the saw-saw Hurst pedal amp hydraulic cutters to free the patientnbspin about 51 mins. Thenbsppatient was then transferred to EMS personnel fornbsptransport to Shock Trauma. Unit cleared at 2300hrs.ppUnits C-6R651p
