pStreet MD – At 1215hrs. Whiteford Volunteers were dispatched for B641 mutual-aid to Co. 9 Darlington first-due for a woods fire in the 1200blk of Macton Rd. Co. 9 units arrived and found a large working woods fire that was spreading rapidlynbspdue to high winds. At 1253hrs. Command 9 then requested a 2nd. alarm which brought E611 U671 SU688 A692 to the scene. Co. 6 units were directed to the 3800blk. of Prospect Rd. in effort tonbspcontained the fire that had spread towardsnbspProspect Rd Box 607. Crews had to cut through fencing for access and then deployed several forestry linesnbspintonbspservice. Crews had difficulty containing the fire due to constant changes in wind directionnbspand the steep terrain. During the incident multiple Harford Cecil amp York county companies responded to the scene to assist. The fire consumed 3-4 acres and was placed under control at 1500hrs.
