He was instrumental in modernizing the communications system and was the first chief of the county Hazardous Material Response Team.pp styletext-align centerChief Terrell was a volunteer with the Darlington VFC for 51 years and served as the Fire Chief for a number of years. In 2008 Chief Terrell was inducted into the HarfordCecil Firemens Hall of Fame.pp styletext-align centernbspChief Terrell was well-known and highly respected by the county fire companies.
