Peach Bottom Township, York Co. PA – At 1711 hours Whiteford Volunteers were dispatched for E611 and T6 mutual-aid to York co. Sta. 57 (Delta-Cardiff) first due for a Dwelling Fire in the unit block of Juniper Rd. At 1715 hours Chief 6 (Gray) and T6 called en-route, followed by E611 at 1718 hours. York Co. 911 advised responding units that the caller was reporting the neighbor house on fire. At 1718 hours Chief 6 arrived and reported a working fire to a one-story wood frame dwelling and a possible rescue. York Co. then upgraded the incident to a rescue assignment. At 1917 hours E612 was dispatched as part of the rescue assignment. Units arrived and multiple handlines were deployed to extinguish the fire and a water draft site was established on Gemmill Rd. The first interior crew located the victim and extricated them from the dwelling. Immediately, Fire/EMS Personnel started CPR and advanced life support. Unfortunately, the victim succumbed to their injuries. The fire was placed under control in about an hour.
