Fawn Grove Boro PA:
At 2019 hours Whiteford Volunteers were dispatched for Truck 6 on the 1st alarm assignment to assist York Co. Sta. 56 (Fawn Grove) for a building fire at Jimmy’s Restaurant, located at 100 Mill St.
Truck 6 & the Chief called enroute.
Chief 56-2 quickly arrived on scene and reported heavy fire through the roof of a 1 story commercial style building and requested the Working Fire Dispatch (WFD).
Engine 611 and surrounding mutual-aid companies were dispatched as part of the WFD assignment. Crews made a quick knock on the fire, that resulted with adjacent businesses only sustaining smoke and water damage. Crews assisted with roof, interior, and overhaul operations.
Units cleared at 2307 hours.
